OES ACS FREQUENCIES FOR CIVILIAN DISASTER RESPONSE:

In the (inevitable) event a disaster strikes our fair City, rendering normal communications inoperable, the San Francisco OES communications civilian volunteer corps swings into action.  We use the below frequencies for backup communications.

If you would like to volunteer now to come to the aid of San Francisco in a disaster - and you are a radio operator - please call 415-703-6586 for recorded information.  If you want to volunteer only when disaster strikes, please report in on the "resource net" frequencies - either published here or announced on the air, for information and assignments.

Please,  in an emergency, do NOT volunteer on the tactical frequencies.  Use the "resource nets" because 1) you might jam vital tactical traffic and 2) you are just that - a resource.  We probably will make use of you.

Bill strongly recommends you volunteer today.  You can get training and information to let you be the "most you can be" when an emergency strikes. We hold exciting and interesting trainings and drills too!  Note that the frequencies are for licensed radio Amateurs only.  GMRS frequencies are also integral to our response.  Come to a meeting and we will help you get started!
